Techno-economic study of a 25 MW co-located wind + BESS project: 125 configurations, 5 forward price scenarios (2027–2056). Finding: the BESS lifts the IRR floor by 1.0 pp — every scenario clears the 8% WACC hurdle. BESS earns 26–51% of revenue from just 17–29% of CapEx.

Sizing the BESS to eliminate curtailment destroys €18–€29M of NPV. The economic optimum is reached well before zero curtailment.
